We are delighted to announce that a new post-doctoral researcher will shortly join our Centre and the Department of Social Anthropology, on a Fellowship funded by the Philomathia Foundation (https://www.philomathia.org).

The post we advertised in the field of ‘Ethics of Technology’ attracted a strong field from around the world, and we are happy to report that Dr Juan Manuel del Nido will be joining us from 1st October 2020. Dr del Nido holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester, where he is currently completing as ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship.

His Philomathia Fellowship project will build on his previous fieldwork in Argentina, where he will study the government’s digitalisation and development strategy, specifically as it utilises blockchain technology.

We are greatly looking forward to welcoming Juan to Cambridge soon.
